The BabyCenter Native Ad is a fairly unique placement...

Visually, it's more like what we commonly see used for Branded Content placements, but the Native functions more like a standard ad in that it clicks off to a partner. Think of it as a premium ad unit designed to blend into the overall experience vs. immediately sticking out as an ad.

For the 3rd iteration of the Native Ad, I was tasked not only with designing the look of the unit itself, but also the surrounding placements as well as the look of our registration form.

One of the main criteria was that the unit had to be dynamically generated using fixed-spec, client supplied elements. (Image, Logo, and copy.) This would ensure that the unit could be easily reformatted for use in other areas of the site without the necessity of gathering additional collateral. (Ie., a horizontal vs. vertical layout. An example is provided at the bottom of the page.)
